As-salaam 'alykum, I’m Sophie, a birth and postpartum doula supporting families across Bahrain.
My journey into doula work began after supporting close friends through pregnancy and the postpartum period while living as expats far from their families. I saw how important it can be to have someone nearby who can offer reassurance, encouragement, and practical support during such a transformative time.
I trained with Conscious Birthing through the Brilliant Basics 8 Week Doula Course, and I am currently continuing my learning through mentorship with Kate Woods. Originally from the Ireland, I have lived in Bahrain for nine years and truly consider it home. Alongside my doula work I am also a kindergarten teacher, and I love supporting families during the early stages of their parenting journey.
As a doula, I offer calm, compassionate support to help you feel informed, confident, and supported throughout pregnancy, birth, and the early postpartum period. I support hospital births in Bahrain and welcome all mothers and families - whether you are a first-time parent, growing your family, a Bahraini mum, or an expat navigating pregnancy away from home.
